The transcripts of the trial of Charles Taylor, former President of Liberia. More…

Madam Witness, just allow me a few seconds to finish reading and then I'll ask you a question, okay? The questions were question 1 in line 1:

"Q. Witness, when the group entered Freetown on this day

where did you go?

A. When we entered into Freetown I - we stopped at Ferry

Junction and the other group went ahead.

Q. Who stopped at Ferry Junction?

A. I stopped at Ferry Junction.

Q. And when you say 'the other group went ahead' which

group are you referring to?

A. The RUF group and the juntas. The group went ahead and

some others stayed behind because they were all over the

town."

And then there was a question posed:

"Q. At this point when you entered Freetown, did you know

where the Red Lion group was?"

And then a few lines down the question is re-posed again at line 21:

"Q. Witness, do you know where Ferry Junction is?

A. Yes, sir.

Q. Where is it?

A. Freetown.

Q. At this point, witness, do you know where the Red Lion

group was?

A. No, I did not know because they were all over the

town."

Madam Witness, do you recall saying you did not know where the Red Lion group was because they were all over the town when you were at Ferry Junction?
