The 7 July agreement in Lome was backed by ECOWAS 100 per cent, was backed by the OAU, the AU that was present, it had its representatives there. And all of the Heads of State at that meeting left with the impression that members of the "international community", mostly western countries, did not like certain aspects of that agreement and hinted to us that they would work against it. One involved the amnesty that was granted to participants of the war and some other aspects as to the position in government, they did not support it, and all of the Heads of State knew that we would be running into some subsequent problems from those members of the international community, so to speak.
