Mr Lansana, these are transcripts from your first interview with the Office of the Prosecution, 17 November 2003, and I am trying to ascertain what if anything you told them about where you were in the year 1990. I will start from line number 11 - no, actually line number 10 with the question:
"Q. -- can you please tell us a bit about yourself.
A. All right. I'm Foday K Lansana, of Sierra
Leonean/Liberian offspring. I was born in Liberia in the
year 1969, by a Sierra Leonean lady, and my father is
Mr Nesia. And during the war in Liberia, because of the
difficulty in the ethnic group which my father comes from -
that is the Nibale - we were seriously targeted on the
campus of the University of Liberia. So for that matter, I
found it very difficult, and she instructed me to come over
to Sierra Leone to her family.
Q. What war are you talking about?
A. I mean the civil war that entered in Liberia in the
year 1989, December 24.
Q. So when did you come to Sierra Leone?
A. I came here in July.
Q. What year?
This is what you told the Prosecution in November 2003, yes?
